Engine Bay's

This is the area where you work on your Rigs and you gear up before a Call. There is a large Digital map of the city displaying where the call is sent in from the Dispatch Center. There is a Teletype mounted on a stand next to a phone wher eyou receive your print out of the Location of the call.

Engine 17 is parked on the Left Side of the Station.

Truck 17 is Parked on the Right side of the station.

*I walk in and set my gear on the ground in the bay next to the truck. I feel rested and ready for anything as I head into the bunk room and set my sheets down on my bed. I jog back in the bay ready for calls and look at my designation for the truck at the moment. I look up and down at the roster and see I'm the driver.*
'Huh...better than nothing.'
*I replace my gear inside of the drivers compartment and I grab my probation clipboard starting to go over the truck completely forgetting to talk to anyone.*

* I start taking inventory of the Gear inside the cab of My Engine. Nothing seems to be out of order and all 4 Portables are charging nicely in their respective holsters. Brian comes up to me wondering how im doing. *

' Im frusterated dude, but other than that i think im good LOL. '

* As im talking to Brian we hear the Tones for our Engine. *

' lol Well i guess we can talk when we get back. '

* I walk around the Engine and climb into my seat. I put my headset on as Richy rushes out to the Engine. Brian climbs aboard. Rich turns the engine on and I hit the lights. As we pull onto the street Rich activates the PA and we start down the road. I pull up the Computer and see where we are going. *

' Alright Richy, Lemon to Harbor to Valley View. '

* Richy pulls into the Back of the parking lot then into our bay at the Firehouse. *

" Fire.....Engine-17 is in quarters. "

* I take my headset off and step out. I close my door then start walking to the Living room followed by Rich and Brian. I hit the bay door button and close the back door of the bay. *

*I pull in the parking lot finding the nearest open space and park. I get out and grab my Gear and duffle bag with all my stuff. I use my key card to open the back door and I walk over to the ladder truck and set my gear up. Then I go look for Capt. Matthews office to introduce my self*

(We're on a call)

* I see Bruce walking around Looking for somebody. I walk up to him to Introduce myself. *

' Hello Im Captain Floan. Engine-17. You must be Beard, Matthews new guy. Welcome. '

* I shake his hand *

' Lets get you to a Locker and some gear. I'll ake care of that for Matthews. '

* I walk with him to the Locker room and show him to his space. *

' All of your gear should be in there. Go ahead and get dressed and just hang out. The truck should be back soon. '

*I turn to Capt. Floan*
'Alright sounds good, thank you sir'
*I turn back to my locker and hang my extra shirts and pants up and the other necesitys for my shift*

* I kep up the Mic for Station 17. *

" Good Morning Station 17 the time is 0656 and your check tones drop now. "

* I tone out the station to check their response then Cpt Floan acknowledges the transmission *

" Fire Copies clear 0657 Have a good day 17. "

* As im buttoning up my Shirt and putting my badge on I hear the tones for the Engine. I start waking out to the bays and Se rich is already starting the engine. Brian comes walking along side of me and we both climb into our respective seats at the same time. I close my door as Rich turns the lights on. I put my headset on and roll down the window to enjoy the Nice afternoon Sun. *

" Fire.......Engine-17 is responding. "

* I hear the Squad's assessment of their call and decide to respond. I walk out of the station with my drink in my hand and step into my unit. I hit the lights and start driving out of the parking lot *

" Fire.....BC-17 Is responding to the 205 freeway with Station 31. "

*I come up to the outside of the station and put the truck in reverse. I turn on my lights.*
'I'm backin up.'
*I back up the truck into the station and as I back in, I shut the lights off and close the bay door. I put the truck in park and set the parking brake, turn the truck off and get out of the truck. I grab my binder and resume my probieism.*
'Im going to be out here studying if you need me sir.'

* Richy pulls us into the back of the station then through the bay to our spot. *

" Engine-17 Back in station. "

* I take my headset off then climb out with the rest of the crew and head into the living room. *

* I shut the Engine down and take my head gear off as well. I open my door and climb out then walk out to sniff the air a bit. The afternoon is cool but a ton better than the snowy Environment I came from. *

" tiller copies that, fire you can show us en route from our quarters, chief any requests?"
' lets go guys, they need us at the mva!'
* i throw my bunkers back on and throw my gear in the cab and climb in and shut my door*
' everyone in?'

'So cap, some gear?'
*I follow him up to the living room.*

' Ah S--T really??? '

* I look at the printout and see how far it is away from where we are. I step into my turnout pants and climb aboard the engine. I take my coat and toss it int he back seat before turning apu on the starting the engine. I hit the lights and wait for everybody else to get on board. *

* I hear the tones and come out of my office to the Engine as Rich starts it up. I grab my turnout pants and put them in the back cab then climb aboard. I close my door and put my headset on. Nick climbs aboard and I give Richy the O.K to head out. *

" Fire......Engine 17 responding. "

* john and hamza back the rig in and i climb out and set my bunkers on the ground and my jacket on my seat and my helmet on the dash*

* As the Truck gets shut down i lock the steering wheel into place then slowly climb out and head to the Living room for a Long awaited drink and Nap. *

* I walk into the Engine bays after parking my car outside the station. I look around and see the Engine is gone but my new rig is waiting for me. The Truck is in station so I put my stuff down next to it and head to the Living room to see who's around. *

* i step out from around the truck to see jamie*
' hey jamie! long time now see! what are you doin here?'

' This is my new house. I hear you guys are the busiest in the City so this is i guess where I need to be. '

* I finish loading my turnout gear into the Ambulances side compartment then start taking Inventory. I hear a female clearing her voice and I look up to See Britany standing there. I start to get a little emotional until i stand up and hug her tightly. *

' Its SO good to have you here you have NO idea. '

* We talk for a few minutes while she gets her gear loaded onto the RA then we start heading inside to relax and catch up *

( oh geeze, brittany)
' well its good to have you hear, im gonna head into the break room, feel free to join us, or whats left of us actually'
* i head towards the break room, hoping to catch a nap*
