Emergency Room

State of the Art Emergency room. 30 Beds making it a smaller ER however what it lacks in size it makes up for in quality.

* As Karen and I walk over with the patient and hand them off to the nurse crew. Karen walks back with the patient to the staging area while I look around at the new hospital. It is a beautiful facility with newer machines, beds and a nice center stage Nurses station. *

* I walk into the ER and hear the fire chatter on the radio. a bit upset that we are not there I start looking for Charlie. I see him filling out the rest of the paperwork as the patient is dropped off. *

' How is he?.'

Charlie: Still was full arrest when we brought him in. just sucks.
me: Yea, guess so. I'm gonna call us available. lets get back to the house.

" Fire, Engine-51 available. "

* I shake my head and put the paperwork on the nurses counter area. give her a nod and Capt. Stanley and I walk out the door towards the engine. I climb aboard, set my clipboard on the seat next to me, put my seatbelt on and put my headset on. *

' I'm ready. '

* We wheel her in, the ER staff take our stretcher and wheel her into the trauma room, Brittany goes with them then eventually comes out with the stretcher. I start uploading all the information into the Hospital database then walk over to the charge nurse. *

' Evening, I have a list of supplies I need. '

* I hand the list to the nurse and wait for her to get the supplies for our trauma and IV kits. *
