*We approach the hospital and I begin to slow the helicopter down while pulling back on the aviation stick. I flip the landing lights on and still twisting the throttle counter-clockwise I find the lighted helipad and watch the altimeter drop until touchdown. I have the helicopter pull back a little more and let the rear wheels touch down first and then all three touchdown. I turn the throttle as far as it goes and let it idle for two minutes for engine cooling. Then I flip on the Force trim switch and turn the ignition off and let the engines and rotors shutdown.*

'Alright guys a second succesful touchdown. What can I help you guys with on getting the patient inside the hospital?'

*I climb out of the back and clip the IV bag to my shoulder and slide the cot out. Alex grabs the other end and we wheel the cot towards the trauma team waiting at the door. As we get through the door the Doc looks at me.*

'What do you got?'

'Doc, got a 30 y/o male, GCS of 9 A&O x1. He was the driver of an ATV that flipped. He was not weraing a helmet and was trapped under the ATV for approximately 1 hour. Vitals are HR: 46, B/P: 60/20, RR: 6, Sinus Brady on the monitor with Tall Peaked T waves. Pt. on O2 15 lpm via NRB, Bilateral IV 14 and 16 respectively, with the 14 on blood tubing. Pt. is in full C-spine procautions. There is a 3-4 cm laceration on his fore head, approx 2 cm wide, and he has an angulated R forearm.'

*As I give report to the doc we roll the pt. to the elevator and the doc swipes his badge and hits the second floor. As we get off he starts ordering Meds and we roll him in to the prep area. We move him over to the Bed in the prep area. I go back up to the helipad to finsih my report while the rest of the crew cleans the bird.*

*Cory and I come back from the second floor with the cot. Doug and William have already finished the cleaning of the helicopter and I help latch the cot on to the lock bar and Cory lifts the legs up and we slide it back in the bird.*

'Do y'all want to grab something to eat at the cafeteria downstairs while I do my flight report and Cory does the patient report or do y'all want to go back to the station and go out. I personally don't have a preference it's up to you guys.'

*I ask as I grab my clipboard off of the Unoccupied Co-pilot seat grab a pen out of my arm pocket on my flight suit and begin to fill out questions and information about the flight.*

*While filling out the flight Info I overhear engine 51 requesting MedEvac, for child struck by car. Dispatcher tells them none available, but then I key the mic and tell them we are In service standing by for possible medical.*

'Guys scratch the eating part. I'm sorry I'm hungry too, but we have been requested to standby for a child hit by a car. So just be ready. I'm going to get some fuel at the fuel tank over here so that if they need us we can go out in a heart beat to save that child.'

*I walk over to the never used fuel tank and grab the nozzle and stretch the hose line attached to the nozzle to the fuel compartment. I unfasten the cap and stick the nozzle inside and squeeze the handle. After a while I watch the gas and it gets close enough to the top and I remove the nozzle and put it back.*

'Alright guys we are good to go so lets just hang out until time.'
