"Engine 12 copies."
*I motion to the guys as we head to the back of the house. Marcus and Garrett set their 2 1/2 up on the southeast side while Jack and I move to the south side and open the 1 3/4 line again.*

*I open the nozzle and run water on a full stream beating at the flames. I keep soaking the siding in between shooting through windows to try and keep the fire in side. I can't help but think this is going to be a total loss for the family, but at least they are all out now.

'How's it looking cap?'

*I pull up 171 after killing the siren and pull in facing the other engines. I put the parking break on and engage the pump before getting out of the cab. I can see the flames have almost entirely engulfed the house as I go back to the pump and start to bring up the water pressure while Davis grabs a preconnect and Trent goes to get our assignment.

* I see Brian and Tyrell continue to battle the fire which is all but out at this point. The volunteer group has just arrived so I task them with mop-up. *

' Jake, Jack, get your crew to get some pikes and mop up tools and start overhauling the building. '

* I walk over to the victims that were brought out by the truck company. they are being examined by the county ambulance crews that have just arrived. I start to survey the scene which is now becoming ever increasingly under control. I see Brondum with his crew continuing to spray water. *
' Hey nick, u can start your clean-up and get ur gear all ready to roll. '

* As we get the upper hand on the fire I start to move in. turning my stream to a more wide spray and slowing the flow to more of a soak, Tyrell Kick over some items as I soak them down. *

' Well this looks like a knockdown to me Ty. What do you think. '

*I shoot Floan a thumbs up as he comes up to us to inform us we can clear. Jack shuts down our line while Marcus closes then both off back at the engine. We bleed the water out and begin to rerack them. I climb up and help Marcus with that while Garrett feeds us line. Once the 1 3/4 and 2 1/2 are neat, we climb down. I put my air pack back in the harness as I check the gage. I notice that it is nearly empty. I put my coat on the doghouse, and my helmet on the dashboard. I pull my baseball cap on and climb in before calling us available and returning to quarters. I clip the mic back and slump down in my seat, tired after the two fires.*

* As Brian, John rich and Myself begin the process of returning things to the engine. I start to looka round, wondering how in the world this got soout of hand so quickly. How 2 people got trapped. How nobody was seriously hurt. I nod my head and smile a bit knowing we did a great job today. I continue mopping things up before climbing back onto the engine to head back to the station. *

" Engine-17 is clear of scene fire. Returning to Station. "

* We all climb into the engine and rich slowly drives us away from the scene to the station. *
